Compassionate care that honors your story and supports your growth
Adult Therapy
How I Work With Adults
I believe that each person brings their own strengths, experiences, and way of understanding the world. My role is to get to know your story, understand what life feels like from your perspective, and work with you to make sense of what may be contributing to how you feel now.
Therapy with me is both reflective and practical. We may explore earlier experiences, relationships, or patterns that continue to shape how you think, feel, and respond, while also finding concrete ways to manage anxiety, communicate differently, make decisions with greater confidence, or approach difficult situations in new ways.
I’m an active participant in the work. I’ll ask questions, share what I’m noticing, help you look at things from different angles, and offer practical tools when they may be useful. At times, that may include worksheets, reading recommendations, or concrete strategies to try between sessions, if that feels helpful to you. With your permission, I may also collaborate with other providers involved in your care. The goal is not only to understand yourself more deeply, but to use that understanding to create meaningful change in your everyday life.
You may be doing well in many areas of your life while still feeling anxious, overwhelmed, stuck, or unsure of yourself. Maybe you spend a lot of time overthinking decisions, putting pressure on yourself to get things right, or questioning whether you’re making the “right” choices. You may notice the same patterns showing up in relationships, feel unsettled by a change in your life, or simply have the sense that something isn’t working the way you want it to.
You may be looking for support with:
anxiety, overthinking, or chronic worry
perfectionism or high expectations of yourself
self-doubt or difficulty trusting your own decisions
dating or relationship concerns
recurring patterns in relationships
engagement, marriage, or changes in partnership
becoming a parent or adjusting to family life
career, identity, or other major life changes
changing friendships or priorities
boundaries and expressing your needs
low mood, feeling stuck, or feeling disconnected from yourself
The Relationship Matters
The relationship we build is an important part of the work. I care deeply about my clients, and my hope is that you feel I’m genuinely in your corner—not simply listening, but thinking alongside you and invested in helping you move forward.
Therapy can involve difficult and serious conversations, but I also believe there is room for warmth, humor, and moments of lightness along the way. Being able to feel comfortable, talk openly, and sometimes even laugh together can be an important part of creating a space where meaningful work can happen.
Getting to Know and Unknow Yourself
One of the things I find most meaningful about therapy is that we are often both getting to know ourselves and, in some ways, beginning to “unknow” ourselves. We all develop stories about who we are, what other people expect from us, and what is or isn’t possible. Some of those stories are useful, others may have been shaped by earlier experiences and no longer fit.
Therapy can help us notice the parts of the story we may not have questioned before, understand ourselves with more curiosity, and begin making choices that feel more aligned with the life we want to live.
